The series of Metaphysics pages on this site are the conclusions born of my personal experience, observation and contemplation.  I am writing these as a means of clarification for myself and uploading them on the chance they may be of value to someone else.  As always, everything I write is based heavily upon, or directly taken from, the teachings of Abraham-Hicks.

METAPHYSICS - GENERAL

When you type the word "metaphysics" into the Encarta Dictionary you get several meanings such as: Philosophy of being - the branch of philosophy concerned with the study of the nature of being and beings, existence, time and space, and causality.  While this roughly describes what I mean when I employ the term metaphysics, I am really intending the Greek origin of the word: Meta (beyond) physics (the physical) - beyond the physical.

Everyone has a Metaphysics whether they know and acknowledge it or not.  Even the most jaded atheist or non-committed agnostic has some catch-all that they throw unexplainable phenomena into.  Often they call it luck, chance, accident, probability or random but really that is just another way of saying "my metaphysical belief system is inadequate and does not have explanations for these phenomena so I will ignore them."

That which is "beyond the physical" is that which resides outside of 4 dimensional space-time.  We have been trained to discount anything in these other dimensions as not real or even delusional.  When, in fact, we are exposed to super-dimensional phenomena all the time.  The most obvious example is thought.  There are no molecules that make up thoughts.  There is no machine which can determine the constituent space-time components of a thought.  Because there aren't any!  "Every thought that has ever been thought still exists."  Thoughts are not part of the arising and subsiding reality of space-time.  Thoughts are, in fact, the origin of all that is physical.  Thoughts transcend space and time because space and time arise out of thoughts.

Our brains are just one of many "modems" in our bodies for the transmitting and receiving of thoughts.  Thoughts are not stored in the brain.  Our brains would have to be the size of the moon to contain all the data we pick up over a lifetime.  Instead, our brains are just one of many centers of consciousness through which thought vibration flows.
